FIDMARSEILLE Goes Out Of Town

As part of “Un Inventaire Contemporain II”, the
Jeu de Paume National Gallery in Paris presents an eclectic inventory of unconventional
film, from 27 January to 29 February 2004.
The following films will be screened:
This Winter by Zong Hua, winner of 1st Prize – World
Première – at FIDMARSEILLE 2002.
Grand Littoral by Valérie Jouve, winner of the Georges
de Beauregard Prize and Soundtrack Prize World Première – at
FIDMARSEILLE 2003.
Grand Littoral also won the Grand Prix for Documentary Short
Films at the 2003 Belfort Festival.
Fragments électriques No. 1: Rom (Uomini) in the International
Competition, by Yervant Gianikian & Angela Ricci Lucchi, selected –
World Première – winner of the Georges de Beauregard Prize at
FIDMARSEILLE 2002.
Fragments électriques No. 2 : Viet Nam, by Yervant

of Films and Film-Makers selected at FIDMARSEILLE
Wang
Bing’s Tie Xi Qu, winner of the FIDMARSEILLE 2003 Grand
Prix, will be distributed on the cinema circuit by Ad Vitam.
Clarisse Hahn’s Karima, which was selected in the French
Competition and premièred at FIDMARSEILLE 2003, will return to Marseille
for a single screening at the Les Variétés Cinema on 19 February
2004 at 20h30.Meeting of friends and associates of FIDMARSEILLE, on 5 February
2004 at 6pm, in the festival office. The “Vue sur les docs” association,
which organises the Marseille International Documentary Festival, presented
the members of its Management Committee. The association reaffirmed its aim
to open the Committee to other members, and also expressed its desire to create
and develop other events.
FIDMARSEILLE
hosts SCAM (Multimedia Authors Partnership)
On the eve of its extraordinary general meeting, which will take place on
22 March 2004 in Paris, SCAM is organising meetings in several towns in France.
The Marseille meeting will be held in the FIDMARSEILLE head office on 26 February
2004.
